Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) is an accredited art school that offers a unique Foundation Year Arts program, which integrates studies in traditional and contemporary art practices. The program is delivered in partnership between the Dawson City Arts Society, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and Yukon College and is located in the historic town of Dawson City.
As a Studio Technician, you will be responsible for the on-going maintenance and safe operation and use of the Visual Arts facilities including assisting students and faculty. Ideally, applicants will have a related post secondary coursework with demonstrated experience operating manual and mechanical tools related to visual art studios.
Knowledge of sculpture, printmaking, painting, new media and drawing would be considered an asset.
Consideration may be given to those with an appropriate blend of education and experience.
